hOw much is a new roof? 

A standard roof in the Twin Cities is around 2,200 to 3,400 square-foot replacement with asphalt shingles. We charge between $7,700 and $11,900 this is for a roof that is 4/12 pitch 1 story house, 1 layer tear off, an individual house can be more or less.

Pricing depends on the pitch of the house, a high pitch roof like a 12/12 will be around $100 per square foot. Other issues that can increase the price can vary from how many stories the roof is or if it needs new chimney flashing.

Older homes like in Minneapolis and Saint Paul  sometimes need wood work on the decking.
You can usually tell by going into the attic to look at the condition of the decking if the decking has wide spaces in between the boards or are rotting we will have to add a layer of 7/16 OSB plywood. This will add $100 more per square foot.

This is not necessary in new homes, new homes usually already have plywood or OSB plywood and it's pretty common to just change out bad plywood this is only around $60 per bad plywood we replace. 

We want to be as informative and helpful as possible and hope this gave you a better idea of what goes into the price of a new roof. We do same day estimates, will give you a detailed estimate on everything  you need for a new roof that will last many years. 

Do you have proper insurance?

Yes we do! We carry General Liability Insurance and Workman's Compensation insurance.

What is General Liability insurance?
General liability insurance  protects against injuries, accidents, or property damage suffered on the job. 
Workman's Compensation Insurance covers if someone gets injured on the job. 
It is really important that when hiring a roofing company they are insured. If not the homeowner becomes the one responsible if anything happens on the jobsite, like someone getting insured or property damage.

My roof leaks do i need a full replacement?

Not necessarily, it might be leaking due to chimney flashing or pipe boots not properly installed this is very common and way cheaper than replacing the whole roof. We recommend a roof repair in this situation.  
If the life of the shingles is gone they are cracked, brittle or if it was a bad installation that was not nailed right, nailed to high on the shingle for example it is necessary to do a full roof replacement.  

why are you partnered with onetreeplanted?

It is one dollar for every tree planted, this is not an added expense for the homeowner and EcoRoofing does this happily out of pocket because we are conscious that every roofing company has a carbon footprint and we as a business should try to offset our carbon footprint as much as we can.

do you work with my insurance? 

Yes we do! We will work with your insurance company to make sure you get all the damage repaired in a timely manner, and submit all the paperwork required.  All you have to do is pay your deductible. 

do I have to pay my insurance deductible?

State law (Minn. Stat. § 325E.66) prohibits contractors from offering to pay a customer’s insurance deductible or offering anything of value as an inducement to enter into a contract for home repairs that are to be paid for as a part of an insurance claim. Contractors who make such an offer are subject to public enforcement action by the Minnesota Department of Labor and Industry, including fines of up to $10,000 per violation.

Do you also do gutters? 

Yes, anything that is related to the installation of a roofing system we do. Gutters are a really important part of the roofing system and when doing the roof it is a perfect time to replace with new quality gutters if needed. If you already have quality gutters and don't need a replacement we will just replace the old gutter apron with new. We also can give you a free estimate for gutter covers if your house needs them. 

do you install gutter covers? 

Yes we do install gutter covers, we use the best in the industry to make sure you don't have to get up on a ladder or pay to  clean out your gutters again, guaranteed. 

What is your warranty?

EcoRoofing offers a warranty on our workmanship for 10 years from completion date and is transferable if you sell your home to the new homeowner.  The shingle manufacturer also offers a *Lifetime Warranty on the actual materials used.

*As a single family homeowner, lifetime coverage means that your warranty is in effect as long as you own your home.

do you install windows?

do you do ROOF repairs? 

Yes, we specialize in residential roofing repairs, this is a great option if your roof is leaking and the whole roof is in pretty good condition doesn't make sense to do a full roof replacement.

If your roof is leaking we will come out and temporarily stop the leak there will be a fee depending on the pitch, height of your roof, we will credit you back the money from the temporary stop leak fix, when we do the proper repair.

We do this to stop the leak right away so no more damage happens to the decking, insulation, sheet rock, paint, and other items. A small leak can do a lot of damage fast, this is an emergency and will treat it that way by going same day. 

​We are partnered with an environmental charity called One Tree Planted, a 501C3 non-profit based in Vermont. Through our partnership, we offset our carbon footprint by donating 100 planted trees for every full roof installation we do.
